The laboratory boasts a significant scientific output, both in terms of quantity and quality. The research conducted by the group aims to understand the mechanisms involved in brain development.
To study the role of dopaminergic signaling in early brain development, we used zebrafish as an animal model. To study both the role of dopamine and the effects of stress on brain development, we used mice. We evaluated the phenomena through confocal microscopy, behavioral tests, western blot, and molecular tools.
In addition to high-quality research, we are also involved in various teaching and outreach projects, accumulating numerous awards and honors throughout our existence.
